Recycling Fun and the End of Term 2

Along with our regular activities and worksheets we've been learning about the 4 R's.
Reduce, Reuse, Refuse and Recycle. Jaxon and his Daddy went to the recycling depot to return our bottles and cans. Jaxon also helps with sorting the recycling to put on the curb for pick up.

Using recycled materials (cardboard and Mommy's leftover yarn) we made a loom and are working on a weaving project.

It's been such a mild winter and the weather has been amazing and allows for lots of outside playtime and trips to the park (the kids thought it was summer one day).

We spent one morning at Mill Lake watching the ducks swim in the lake and having fun at the playgrounds.

Worksheets and other bits and pieces!

Jaxon's been having lots of fun in his PE class getting to try new sports and meet new friends.
He's also been loving his art class, here's his latest masterpieces!

We've started a new activity- 'Free-for-all Friday' I lay out all different kinds of materials and the kids create whatever they want!

And that brings us to the end of Term 2, not sure how that went so fast!

Term 2 Continued

After a wonderful and restful Christmas break it's time to get back into routine and start up school work and activities again. Jaxon's been eager to learn more and was definitely looking forward to class with Miss Kim again (the highlight of his week)! Working through numbers he knows 1 though 10 very well. Now we're learning what the number looks like written out- much more difficult!

Playing a dice game with Alivia, once he knew the rules he didn't need any assistance to play it.

Jaxon's art class started up on Thursday at 4 Cats. So far he's the only one in his class... he absolutely loved it and got to do lots and lots of activities since it was just him. I'm hoping there will be more kids to sign up as I think that's a big part of putting him in activities is to get more social interaction. Here he is when we picked him up, and a couple of the art pieces he got to do!

I also purchased this wall calendar, everyday Jaxon and his siblings take turns and we go through the days of the week, the month, year and date and what the weather is that day. He's already counting down to his field trip to Science World.

Gymnastics also started up, here he is on the balance beam.

A new Minion Monopoly game he loves to play, he enjoys being the banker and counting out the money, and helping his siblings move their game piece the correct number of places.

This Friday he also starts his homeschool PE class which he is very excited about.
That's all the update for now, thanks for reading!
