Finishing Term 1 with Jaxon

Jaxon working on his spider web filled with lines and patterns.

We took a trip to Port Kells nursury and saw all kinds of fall sights.

Learning about cold weather and what keeps some animals warm, instead of clothes they have blubber. The kids put their hands in a bag of lard that was submerged in ice water and it wasn't cold at all.

Jaxon loves all kinds of creatures and loves to take care of them, he wanted to bring the salamander to the pond where he thought it would be happier.

Getting exercise at the zoo, pushing Zoey in the stroller

Talking about foods, and how they change with the seasons and what foods Jaxon likes grow in the different seasons.

We love the zoo, especially when we get to see the animals so close!

Finishing Term 1 with Alivia

Before Halloween we did a fun art project using lines and different patterns inside the outline of a spider web.

While we explored outside one day we found a couple salamanders, we brought them to oor pond where we thought they might like it better.

We took a trip to Port Kells Nursury and saw all kinds of fall sights.

We also bought some flower bulbs that will flower in the spring, se we talked about the 4 seasons and how we have to wait for the seasons to change before we get to see these flowers.

Alivia made this poster of herself and we printed out things she liked and glued them on: Kitties, Puppies, Parks, Lego, School, Gymnastics

The kids also worked on this name project, outlineing the letters of their name with different materials- stickers, buttons, glitter.

We have our zoo pass again and are so excited to spend sunny days walking around the zoo and learning about the different animals.

Learning about frost, we put one glass in the freezer for a few hours. Alivia got to see how it was different than the one left ton the counter. She observed it was much colder, it looked different and was not see through, and she could scrape ice off of it.

Getting more exercise walking around the zoo for a couple hours.

One day having her fishy cracker snack she decided to make a pattern out of it.
